Is an AI calling agent better than a calling desk?
For the first call, yes. An AI agent like Samparkk makes the polite qualifying call that finds out who is interested and when to call back, for ₹7 to ₹10 a billable call, at any hour, and sounds the same on the 500th call as on the first. Your people should still make the second call, the one that closes.
How do the numbers compare?
| Three-person calling desk | Samparkk, Growth plan | |
|---|---|---|
| Connected conversations a day | 150 to 200 on a good day | Up to 800 (4 lines, 30% connect rate, 8 hours) |
| Monthly cost | Salaries, seats and a supervisor, typically ₹60,000 and up | ₹22,000 plus ₹7 a call after 3,000; about ₹36,000 at 5,000 billable calls |
| Cost per billable call | ₹15 to ₹20 at 3,000 to 4,000 calls a month | ₹7.20 at 5,000 calls a month; never more than ₹10 |
| Hours | 9 to 6 on weekdays, minus breaks and attrition | Any hours you set, seven days a week |
| The 500th call of the day | Sounds like the 500th call | Sounds like the first |
| Unanswered dials | Your team's time, 70% of all dials | Free, handled automatically with retries |
| Record of the call | A CRM note, if one is written | Recording, transcript, disposition, summary, pushed to CRM |
| Ramp-up | Hiring and training, four to eight weeks per person | Two weeks to the first campaign |
The desk figures are typical for a small Indian calling desk and will vary with your city and product. The Samparkk figures are list prices.
What should people still do?
Closing. A caller who says "हाँ, interested हूँ" wants a person who can quote, negotiate and reassure. Samparkk books that person's callback at the time the caller asked for and hands over the transcript, so the closer starts the second call already knowing what was said on the first.
Where does an AI agent lose?
- Complex objections. The agent answers the common ones from your script and offers a callback for the rest. It does not improvise a negotiation.
- Angry callers. It apologises, offers a human, and ends the call politely. It does not try to win the argument.
- Bad lists. Wrong numbers and dead leads cost a connected call each. A clean list matters more with an AI agent than with people, because the agent will dial all of it.
Can the two work together?
That is the intended shape. Samparkk dials the whole list and produces a short worklist of people who said yes and when. A two-person team then works that list instead of dialling 600 numbers to find them. Teams that used to spend 70% of their day on unanswered calls spend it on conversations that were already warm.

Will an AI agent replace my team?
No. It makes the first call, the short one that finds out who needs what. Your team keeps the conversation that follows and gets a worklist instead of a cold list.
What connect rate should I expect?
About 30% of dial attempts to a cold Indian consumer list are answered. Fresh, opted-in lists do better; old lists do worse.
What if a caller asks for a person?
The agent hands off immediately by booking a callback with your team at the time the caller asks for.
